Dramatic footage has emerged from China of a huge billboard collapsing in typhoon winds and smashing into vehicles below.

The terrifying moment, which was captured on camera on August 31 in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, shows the giant billboard, which sits on top of a huge pole, suddenly toppling into the car park of a local bank.

At least eight cars were damaged but there were no reports of any injuries.
