STAR India won IPL media rights . They won broadcast, India Digital & rest of the world rights for Rs 16,347 crore. Initially, 24 companies picked up rights papers to contest for the several rights up for grabs in the auction organised by the BCCI. Earlier, the BCCI CEO Rahul said that the revenue generation from the upcoming IPL media rights auction could be "historic", considering the huge interest shown by various stakeholders.
