Matthew McConaughey is known for being an actor, but now he’s using his platform to become an activist for Autism awareness.
He teamed up with Kiehls skin care, making a special announcement where he’s promoting their Ultra Facial Cream product and hoping to help find special help for those suffering from the disorder.
[Let’s talk about Autism. Autism affects an estimated 70 million people worldwide. Children with autism need our support, and they need it right now. They need early diagnosis and they need access to services to give them a real chance at a better life.]
McConaughey is encouraging people to share Kiehl’s campaign video, and the company will donate $1 dollar to Autism Speaks for every share until they reach their $200,000 dollar goal.
The actor has a passion for helping children, thanks to his Just Keep Livin’ Foundation, and tells People.com, “Kiehls does good work for good causes. When they approached me to work with them on this campaign and support a cause like Autism Speaks it made sense to me.”
Hopefully Kiehls and McConaughey can help raise the awareness and help the cause.
