Fox News May Add Laura Ingraham and Move Up Sean Hannity
Her star in right-wing media circles has risen along with Mr. Trump, whom she praised during
last year’s presidential race as a candidate willing to say what “no else is saying.”
The Trump administration has courted Ms. Ingraham for a communications role in the White House,
but she may enjoy a similar level of influence with the president from a regular perch on Fox News, whose coverage Mr. Trump watches religiously
Laura Ingraham, the right-wing radio host and commentator who was an early supporter of President Trump, is negotiating a deal with the network
to take over its 10 p.m. time slot, according to two people briefed on the matter who requested anonymity to describe private discussions.
Ms. Ingraham is no stranger to Fox News viewers — she is a contributor at the network and routinely substituted for Mr. O’Reilly, earning respectable ratings
that occasionally came close to those of the permanent host.
Her entry into prime time would most likely send Sean Hannity, the boisterous host
and informal presidential adviser, to the coveted 9 p.m. slot, the people said.
