Hi all, On Thursday 7th May new I decided to venture up to Glasgow to meet a good friend of mine. We were just about to move spots when we noticed this, AA71 diverting in to Glasgow while it was Enroute from Frankfurt Germany to Dallas Texas. The reason for this divert was due to a massive oil leak in the Right Engine. This engine was shut down midflight. The Aircraft Came in very loud and hard, the brakes were hammered so the plane could come to a halt near the end of Runway 23. While the plane was on final it was reported there would be some braking problems due to the amount of fuel it was carrying. The pilots showed their skills bringing the plane in without any disaster happening, hats off to them. When the plane came to a halt the fire brigade quickly got into ion and on standby close to the plane, encase of a fire since the brakes got hot quickly due to the amount of braking power used. They inspected the brakes, then the plane taxied to the remote stand right in front of where we were spotting.\r

I would like to thank Jonathan for a great day of spotting\r

Just to let you all know this was filmed with my new camcorder, the Panasonic HC-V750EB-K. What do you all think of it, I think its much better. This video isnt the best of my filming but I have lots of learning to do with it. I do think its an improvement in quality and smoothness compared to my DSLR, the Canon 600D which I will still use for photography.\r
