Calcutta High Court rejected the decision of the West Bengal Government to not allow the immersion of the Durga statue and the Muharram together, and rejected it. The Calcutta High Court said, such arbitrary orders can not be given. It is worth mentioning that the Mamta Government has decided that Durga statue will be immersed in the next day of Muharram.

दुर्गा प्रतिमा का विसर्जन और मोहर्रम एक साथ न होने देने के पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार के फ़ैसले पर हाइकोर्ट ने नाराज़गी दिखाते हुए इसे खारिज कर दिया है. कलकत्ता हाईकोर्ट ने कहा, ऐसे मनमाने आदेश नहीं दिए जा सकते. उल्लेखनीय है कि ममता सरकार ने फैसला लिया है कि मुहर्रम के अगले दिन ही दुर्गा प्रतिमा विसर्जन होगा.
