'EU is completely INTRANSIGENT!' Bone rages at Brussels & says THIS is how talks will end
A CONSERVATIVE MP has insisted the UK is likely to walk away from the bloc without a deal because Brussels chiefs are refusing to negotiate. The Prime Minister is set to challenge the rest of Europe to display the “vision and creativity” required to build a successful Brexit.In a landmark speech in Italy, Theresa May is expected to kickstart Britain’s Brexit negotiations with the EU after talks stumbled over key issues such as citizens rights, the divorce bill and the Irish border.Brexiteer, Peter Bone, argued that the UK could still walk away from the European Union without a deal and urged the Prime Minister not dismiss the UK’s key principles. Speaking on Sky News, the Conservative MP railed against European chiefs who have slowed Brexit talks on purpose as they don’t want a deal with the UK. He said: “As long as the fundamental principles are adhered to, we have nothing to worry about. “I have to say that the problem the Prime Minister has, is you have got the European Union elite who are being completely intransigent, won’t are with anything. “It’s not in their interest to do a deal. “My best guess is we will come round to March 2019, the European Union will be in an impossible negotiation, they won’t agree to anything, and we will pull out and go to World Trade rules which will be no bad thing.”
The Brexiteer insisted that Friday was “another step to us leaving the EU” and backed the Prime Minister as long as key principles were followed. Mr Bone outlined significant policies of “ending free movement”, not paying the EU “billions and billions of pounds in the future” and the UK being in control of “making our own laws in our own country by our own judges”, then the British people would “say she’s done a good job.”The Conservative MP reiterated the EU can’t risk completing a deal with the UK as it could lure other countries away from the Brussels club. The Prime Minister called a cabinet meeting on Thursday which outlined what Mrs May would offer the rest of the EU on Friday. The cabinet are believed to have untied to propose a transitional deal of two years after Britain has formally exited the EU after March 2019. The UK is also thought to be willing to continue paying its planned contributions to Brussels during that time.Mrs May is expected to say: “If we can do that, then when this chapter of our European history is written, it will be remembered not for the differences we faced, but for the vision we showed; not for the challenges we endured but for the creativity we used to overcome them; not for a relationship that ended but a new partnership that began.“While the UK's departure from the EU is inevitably a difficult process, it is in all of our interests for our negotiations to succeed.“So I believe we share a profound sense of responsibility to make this change work smoothly and sensibly, not just for people today but for the next generation who will inherit the world we leave them.”The European Union’s Brexit negotiators have reiterated they are not willing to talk about the UK’s future trade relationship with the bloc, until key issues of the Irish border, Brexit divorce bill and citizens rights, has been resolved. . 00FastNews.
