Footage of a pet monkey hugging a stray cat after the two became inseparable best friends.
Seven-year-old macaque Lilly was taken in after being attacked by wild animals and found injured in Surat Thani, Thailand.
Owner Wuttichai, 27, built a home in his garden where she has lived for over a year.
In August a stray male kitten visited Lilly and the two instantly bonded. Macaques have a reputation for attacking people, but Lilly spends hours just holding the cat in her arms.
Wuttichai said the kitten was like an adopted son. He said: ''I don't know where the cat came from but we noticed her one day with Lillly. There was no aggression, they were sitting next to each other gazing looking at each other.''
''Since then the cat has kept coming back. Lilly puts her arms round her and they lay down together. They never fight. I've never seen anything like it before, a cat and a monkey so close.''
''Lilly was injured when we found her and we helped her to recover. I think the cat is helping her to get better, too,'' he added.
