TIGERS OF INDIA\r
\r
THE VIDEO WAS TAKEN IN RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK DURING A RESEARCH ASSIGNMENT, WHEN THE TIGER T- 24 WAS ENCOUNTERED BY CHANCE WHILE TAKING ANOTHER VIDEO FOR STUDY PURPOSE IN EARLY MORNING PERIOD.\r
\r
T 24 CAN BE SEEN PATROLLING THE AREA AND SITTING IN AN AMBUSH TO HUNT.\r
\r
\r
THE FIELD ASSISTANTS WERE QUICK TO RECOGNIZE THE TIGER AS THEY SAW IT DURING RADIO COLLARING AS WELL.\r
DATED - DEC/new; LOCATION - RANTHAMBORE TR (SULTANPUR RANGE)\r
\r
DEDICATED TO THE WILDLIFE RESEARCHERS AND FOREST GUARDS, WHO CONSTANTLY RISK THEIR LIFE TO PROTECT WILDLIFE.\r
\r
This Video will be watched from a Lay person to Wildlife enthusiasts or even Conservationist and Researchers. They all will be having different level of understanding about various things. So just to put it in words.\r
\r
- Tourists are allowed in Protected Areas in India in a particular time and also in a specified zone\r
- Nobody is allowed to leave the Vehicles when they are inside the park.\r
\r
Apart from tourism many research projects are also carried out by the state and center government (under WII) & also NGOs permitted by the government. \r
The research may be from the camera trapping of Tiger/Leopards to the dietary habits of any herbivore like Sambar/Cheetal just to name a few.\r
\r
The researchers have to follow a study design, that also involve WALKING ON A LINE TRANSACT inside the forest and other methods, in which the vehicle is dropped at a particular place and they venture inside the forest (which is not shown in the video)\r
\r
The unknown f is that no researcher leaves the vehicle when there are tourist vehicles in sight, to avoid showing them something that they are advised against.\r
\r
This Video showcase one such moments when a Tiger (T 24) was sighted accidentally when one of the researcher was recording a study video, before going for a TRANSACT WALK exercise.\r
\r
Just to clarify, that moving in a PA like that may be illegal, but projects like this are there to develop scientific understanding of a species in the wild and have legal supported by the Government. \r
People who work like this are fully aware of the dangers involved, and sometimes have to take calculated risks, when they walk deep inside a Tiger Reserve.\r
\r
So this is a Dont Try This at Home warning. People in the video are not Tourist but a Research team sponsored by the Government.\r
