Star Wars Jedi Training Academy - Its time to awaken the force within you, be trained in the techniques of Jedi combat and do battle against Darth Vader!\r
\r
The Jedi Training Academy is your chance to immerse yourself totally in the Star Wars world, become a Jedi and do battle against Darth Vader! This is a must do attrion for all Star Wars fans (aged 4-12) visiting Disneys Hollywood Studio in Orlando, Florida. The show is also very entertaining for the parents and audience, with its blend of authentic Star Wars ion and humour. The stage is located in the Echo Lake part of the park next to the Star Wars Star Tours ride. \r
The Training Academy is approximately a 20 minute long show and consists of a training session led by a Jedi master, where the trainee Jedi are taught some basic combat moves using plastic training light sabres. The ion then begins when the show is interrupted by two stormtroopers who invade the stage, followed by the arrival of Darth Vader, threatening to tempt the young ones over to the dark side. One by one the Jedi trainees then have the opportunity to put into prise the moves that they have learnt when they single-handedly do combat against Darth Vader. \r
The area in front of the stage may also be used for training for half of the children. Darth Maul may make an entrance after Darth Vader and the children in front of the stage will then do battle against Darth Maul. \r
In between each of the duels there is a little sequence, or Vader will either goad the Jedi or the audience! The best little scene is when proceedings are interrupted again by the stormtroopers and the Jedi master selects one Padawan to defeat them using the force. \r
Later in the show Yoda makes an appearance as his voice resounds around the stage and the combined strength of the Jedi is sufficient to defeat the evil of Darth Vader and Darth Maul who eventually make their exit. There is a nice comic scene when the stormtroopers try to leave the stage, before the jedi trainees take the applause of the audience.\r
The show is a real treat for any Star Wars fan and is a slick piece of entertainment right from the theatrical entrance of the hooded robed Jedi masters to the strains of the classic John Williams Star Wars music, which continues throughout the show to create an authentic atmosphere.\r
TIPS\r
If you want to take part in the show you will need to arrive early and register up to take part in the show. Make your way past Echo Lake heading towards Star Tours and there should be a Disney employee outside the ABC Sound Studio, which used to be Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey and this is where you can sign-up for the show. You will need to report back here 30 minutes before your slot time and you will spend some time with a Disney representative, who will then escort the children to the stage area. The children are then given a robe and light sabre which they use during the show and return after. Check out when the parade times are if you want to catch these as you will be committing an hour of your park time to ensure that the two events dont clash. There are approximately 13 shows per day. Parents are allowed to stay with the children prior to the show, but I would recommend that one of the adults go and reserve a space at the stage as the show is very popular.\r
A Photopass photographer takes photos during the show if you want a special souvenir of the experience. As you have to hand back your trainee light-sabre at the end of the show there is also a souvenir shop nearby where a replacement or a selection of other Star Wars merchandise can be purchased. \r
Film \r
My film includes all of the elements of the show, but the training section has been edited and the duel sequence does not include every child, so both sections are longer in reality. This edit involved a two-camera set-up which hopefully creates a more interesting film. Yodas voice is only heard during the ual show but I have used artists license and incorporated him in the film.\r
Thank you for watching my film, if you enjoyed it then please feel free to like it and leave a comment. Why dont you have a look at some of the other films on my channel.\r
