Would you let Amazon inside your house? The company is betting on it with Amazon Key.

The program allows delivery services to place packages inside your home, using a smart lock for entry and a camera to make sure people exit. Users can also unlock their homes for other people, such as friends or cleaners.

Other companies have tried to tackle delivery issues. A pilot project from Volvo allows deliveries to be made in car trunks.

Amazon already has ears inside of millions of homes with Alexa, the always-on microphone and speaker. Now, it'll have eyes — and keys — too.
