Anupama Shenoy, whistleblower and controversial former Karnataka police officer is all set to float her own political outfit ahead of assembly elections in Karnataka. Famous for taking on the liquor lobby in Ballari after which she quit the police force, Shenoy on Monday said that the name of the political party as well as its agenda will be announced on November 1, on the day of Kannada Rajyothsava. The former cop who took on Congress Minister in Karnataka P T Parameshwar Naik said that her party would contest from at least 80 of the 224 constituencies in Karnataka. The announcement to float her own party puts to rest speculations of Anupama Shenoy joining the BJP. The Congress has accused the officer of being the BJP' s stooge after her tirade against Congress leaders.
