Queensland Police announced on Wednesday, October 1, that they were launching a new initiative to resolve unsolved crimes committed in Logan by collaborating with Griffith University School of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
The police released four clips showing robberies in the area that took place across nine months in 2017, saying they hoped to discover the “causal factors behind robberies taking place across the district.”
“Using their full range of capabilities the taskforce will assume investigative responsibility for all robberies after seven days from when the offence occurred,” Detective Inspector Tod Reid said.
“Detectives will focus on a proactive approach to preventative measures by working in partnership with stakeholders in combating robbery offences.” Credit: Queensland Police Service via Storyful
