A group of English football fans sang a controversial World War II children’s song in a London pub on November 10, a couple of hours before the England and Germany teams marked World World I’s Armistice Day with a friendly match at Wembley.

The video here shows fans singing the song in the The Globe pub near Baker Street.

At the match, both teams wore black armbands to mark Armistice Day, and both players and supporters observed a minute’s silence. On November 11, 1919, the armistice ended hostilities on the Western Front of World War I. Credit: YouTube/VINTAGE TERRACE via Storyful
