A North Korean soldier fleeing to South Korea was shot at 40 times. Four North Korean soldiers shot at their counterpart hitting him five times as he attempted to cross the Joint Security Area. The soldier is now being treated at a South Korean hospital. He reportedly underwent surgery for his gunshot wounds.
