Jeff Sessions maintained his innocence when it came to contact made between the Trump campaign and Russia during a meeting with the
House Judiciary Committee. This was the first time Sessions
had spoken out since newly unsealed court documents filed by special counsel Robert Mueller's office showed that he was aware that a campaign aide wanted to arrange a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Sessions did confirm that he shot down the idea of any potential meeting between the two parties.
