An emotional video has emerged of a man taking his girlfriend on a plane ride to propose to her.

The footage, shot in 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shows Jimmy and Pam sitting in a small aircraft when another plane flies a banner in front of them.

Jimmy asks Pam to read the banner, which asks "will you marry me?"

After a few tears on the plane, the couple lands and Jimmy kneels down on the tarmac to ask Pam to be his wife.
