President Trump on Monday blasted MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' for pre-taping its post-Thanksgiving show.
The Friday broadcast touched upon the usual day after topics, like food and football, but didn't address major world events that had occurred since Wednesday, including the mass killing at a mosque in Egypt, reports the Washington Post.
Trump's tweet was preceded by one from White House social media director Dan Scavino Jr., who shared a link to a Breitbart report regarding the apparently yet not live broadcast and wrote, "Fake News: Morning Joe Scarborough (@JoeNBC) Caught Pretending Pre-Taped Day After Thanksgiving Show Was Live."
The president retweeted Scavino's post and added, "The good news is that their ratings are terrible, nobody cares!"
That comment marks the latest installment in what has been a back-and-forth battle of words between Trump and Morning Joe's hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.
The duo is among the president's consistent and vocal critics.
In recent times, they've expressed their deep dissatisfaction over the leader's handling of his trip to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico, his war against LaVar Ball, the father of one of the UCLA basketball players released from China, and the president's response to the deadly late October attack in Manhattan.
