On this first day of snowfall - the last day of November 2017 - a personal rendition (solo piano) of three French songs from our younger days. Michel Legrand’s "I Will Wait for You" ("Je ne pourrai jamais vivre sans toi") from the French musical Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (1964), is followed by "C'est si bon" (“It ’s so good”), a French popular song composed in 1947 by Henri Betti, and concluded by "Aux Champs-Élysées" - the French version of Michael Wilshaw’s original “Down Waterloo Road” (1969). These songs lend themselves for some jazzy and swinging improvisations.
