Heartwarming video of a Minnesota man rescuing an owl tangled in a barbed wire fence with the help of his wife and children.
The footage, captured on November 30 in tiny Biwabik Township in Minnesota, shows father-of-four Luke Soderling covering the owl with towels and cutting it free from the fence in freezing temperatures.
''The owl got tangled by its wing in the fence and I had to cut the wire to remove it,'' Luke later wrote online.
''It was tangled so badly it couldn’t be freed any other way,'' he added.
Later on, Luke can be seen gently putting the owl in towels on a seat in his car so it can be taken to a rehab centre, one hour away.
In the video, he says to his children sat in the back seats: "We got him taped in there so hopefully he won't be flapping around when you guys are taking him to town."
He adds: "OK guys. ... Go take care of the owl!"
"We got to go save the owl!" says one of the children.
