Video of the world's largest propeller plane taking off from Manchester airport for Canada.

The rare Antonov AN-22 is a military transport aircraft built 50 years ago and designed by the Antonov Design Bureau in Kiev.

Many gathered to see the aircraft equipped with four contra-rotating propellers - making it the largest turbo-prop powered aircraft in the world - take off.

The plane was flying to Gander International Airport in Newfoundland.
