Si tiréssim de clixés, diríem allò de “menys és més”, però no cal. Igual que no són necessàries excessives floritures per emocionar-nos amb la música de Fritz and the Cat. En Fritz, és un guitarrista de Berlín i l'Ester una violoncel·lista de Figueres. I més enllà de la curiosa barreja, la seva música transmet aquell caliu de les coses conegudes. Cançons fetes a mà, amb un toc d’orfebreria sonora que despunten per la seva singularitat, ja sigui sota la forma de folk o pop.


If we were to use cliches, we would say that “less is more”, but maybe we don’t even need to do so. Exactly for the same reason that we don’t need extra add-ons to Fritz & The Cat’s music in order to get goosebumps. He is a guitar player from Berlin, and she plays cello and was born in Figueres. Besides this funny mixture, their music exudes that familiar “je ne sais quai” of the small pleasures. Songs shaped by hand -and heart-, like a sonic artisan. Delicate and stripped down in their nature, they are beautiful songs under the shape of folk and pop tunes.
