Rita’s inimitable and powerful voice garnered her the attention of some of Australia’s most acclaimed musicians, singing with Australian jazz greats such as Allan Zavod and Mark Fitzgibbon, who would go on to call Rita “the best singer songwriter to hit the scene in a long time.” As a jazz singer and chanteuse, Rita thrived and her debut EP Awoken led to her scoring support slots with Australian legends such as Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano and Christine Anu.
