In this cake decorating tutorial I show you how to make a 3D cake of a Stormtrooper helmet from the Star Wars s.\r

Tools and products used in this video - \r
Ice wise sugar paste - \r
6 inch sphere cake tin - \r
Colour shapers modelling tools - \r
Cake smoother - \r
Modelling tool / cake scriber - \r
metal ruler - \r
Cookie cutters - \r
Circle plunger cutters - \r
Black rainbow dust powders - \r

Ginger cake recipe - \r
12 OZ self raising flour\r
1 teaspoon ground ginger\r
1 teaspoon mixed spice\r
6 OZ sugar\r
4 OZ margarine\r
2 tablespoons dark treacle\r
One egg beaten with one teacupful milk.\r
\r
Mix the flour and the spices.\r
Beat the sugar and margarine to a cream and stir in the treacle, then add the dry ingredients and the beaten egg and milk ( add a little bit at a time )\r
Mix thoroughly.\r
Pour into a shallow, greased tin and bake in the oven at 180C for up to 45 mins, or until knife comes out clear (Please note oven temperatures vary from oven to oven so adjust accordingly).\r

Buttercream recipe - \r
600g icing sugar, sifted\r
300g unsalted or salted butter, softened\r
optional flavouring\r
Beat the ingredients together.\r

- To make white chocolate ganache you can simply melt white chocolate with double cream in a glass bowl above a pan of boiling water ( I use the hob to heat the water, but be sure to turn this right down once the chocolate begins to melt so it doesnt burn). I use the ratio of 3 to 1 white chocolate to double cream\r
