Two pyrotechnicians were injured and thousands of people were evacuated from Terrigal Beach in New South Wales after a New Year’s Eve fireworks display went awry.
Concerned parents posted that their children were traumatized after a barge of fireworks exploded, and went on fire, shortly after 9 pm.
Leonie Douglas was filming the display at the moment the barge exploded and the crowd began to panic. She said her children were unharmed but upset by the incident.
