Racial violence took place in Maharashtra's Pune on the 200th anniversary of the Bhima-Koregaon War. In this case, a complaint has been lodged against the student-turned student Umar Khalid, who spoke about the newly elected independents of Gujarat, Jignesh Mawni and JNU anti-country slogan. The complainants have alleged that Jignesh Mewani and Omar Khalid had given provocative speeches during a program which led to the violence in two communities. महाराष्ट्र के पुणे में भीमा-कोरेगांव युद्ध की 200वीं सालगिरह पर जातीय हिंसा हुई । इस मामले में गुजरात के नवनिर्वाचित निर्दलीय विधायक जिग्नेश मेवाणी और जेएनयू देशविरोधी नारे मामले से चर्चा में आए छात्रनेता उमर खालिद के खिलाफ शिकायत दर्ज कराई गई है। शिकायतकर्ताओं ने आरोप लगाया है कि जिग्नेश मेवानी और उमर खालिद ने एक कार्यक्रम के दौरान भड़काऊ भाषण दिया था जिसके चलते दो समुदायों में हिंसा हुई। आपको बता दे कि हिंसा की शुरुआत पुणे के कोरेगांव-भीमा से सोमवार को तब शुरू हुई, जब कुछ दलित संगठनों ने 1 जनवरी 1818 में यहां पर ब्रिटिश सेना और पेशवा के बीच हुए युद्ध की वर्षगांठ मनाने जुटे।
