According to a report from the American Cancer Society, deaths are down in the United States by 26-percent over the last 27 years.
According to the ACS annual Faces & Figures report, 2.3 million fewer Americans die each year to cancer when compared to the early 1990s.
That figure boils down to 1.6 million men and 739,000 women.
But cancer deaths are also down in for key areas.
Female breast cancer deaths are on the decline, as are colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, and lung cancer.
