President Trump on Saturday dismissed any questions about his mental fitness.

Amid renewed questions about his mental fitness, President Trump took to Twitter on Saturday and called himself a "very stable genius."
"Now that Russian collusion, after one year of intense study, has proven to be a total hoax on the American public, the Democrats and their lapdogs, the Fake News Mainstream Media, are taking out the old Ronald Reagan playbook and screaming mental stability and intelligence," Trump wrote in a series of tweets. "Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart."
Trump then went on to slam Hillary Clinton and her 2016 election loss.
"Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from VERY successful businessman, to top T.V. Star to President of the United States (on my first try)," Trump tweeted. "I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius...and a very stable genius at that!"
The recent uptick in concerns about the president's mental fitness for office comes amid a number of high-profile incidents and reports.
Michael Wolff's new book 'Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,' portrays the president as being unfocused and impervious to reason.
Politico also reported that a number of lawmakers had participated in an early December meeting regarding the president's mental state.
In attendance was Yale psychiatry professor Dr. Bandy X. Lee. At the meeting, Lee reportedly warned, "He's going to unravel, and we are seeing the signs."
