Firefighters battled a 4-alarm fire that broke out at an apartment in Lynn, northeast of Boston, on January 8.
The blaze started shortly before 4 pm and the roof of the building collapsed by 7 pm, according to New England Cable News. All 28 residents were evacuated, and one woman who suffered a burn injury was taken to a nearby hospital. Her condition was unknown as of the time of writing.
CBS Boston reported that approximately 100 firefighters from at least three neighboring communities responded to the fire, which appeared to have started on the third floor. Pictures tweeted by the Lynn Fire Department show the building engulfed in heavy smoke.
