A Southwest Airlines plane has ended up in a ditch at Nashville International Airport in Tennessee after skidding off a runway while taxiing, officials say. Three people have been injured. (more) Kathleen Bergen, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said the accident happened at about 5:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday while Southwest Airlines Flight 31, a Boeing 737 aircraft, was taxiing to its gate. Multiple ambulances rushed to the scene and a Nashville Fire Department spokesman confirmed that 3 people had been injured, including one person who suffered chest pains. The two other injuries were described as minor. Southwest Airlines Flight 31 had just landed in Nashville after a flight from Houston Hobby Airport. The FAA will investigate the cause of the incident, Bergen said.
