The Lab is our weekly office rave up where we live stream DJs and producers that we feel are doing great things. This week we welcome STWO (pronounced 'Stew) onto our decks for the first Lab of 2014

The 21-year-old from Paris is part of a new wave of young producers influenced by the likes of Shlohmo and Hudson Mohawke. He only started releasing tracks five months ago but has grabbed the attention of musos online garnering him millions of plays on both his most recent EP 'Beyond' and his debut EP 'Moans'. Signed to HW&W label alongside the likes of Kaytranada, his musical style of smooth future garage basslines, soulfully pitched vocals and trap-inspired beats places him perfectly in the majestic bass movement du jour.

Djrum champions a refined, eclectic style of dance music taking in influences from jungle, footwork, ambient, hip hop, and techno. To get an idea of what to expect check out the superb In Session mix he did for us last year here.

His debut album 'Seven Lies' was released April 2013 on 2nd Drop Recordings, and came after a long series of classic 12" singles such as 'Tension' and 'St. Martins'. Critically acclaimed by the media and influential producers alike, it solidified Djrum as an artist synonymous with cutting edge, intelligent music.
