Protesters, including Jewish rabbis and community leaders, sang “We will not be moved” as they sat in the Russell Senate Office Building rotunda in Washington to protest in support of the DREAM Act on January 17.
At least 10 protesters were detained by police and restrained with zip-ties, according to reports.
The protesters demonstrated on behalf of those affected by the delay in the passing of the DREAM, or Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act, that would allow youths residing in the US illegally to seek avenues for legal residence. Credit: Twitter/Hannah Goldstein via Storyful
