A disturbing controversy occurred in the mid 1980s when a local pediatrician was accused of touching female high school students inappropriately during their sports physical exams. In order to properly educate the public, one of the areas most respected pediatricians, Dr. Leonard Marks, came on our program to demonstrate and explain a proper physical exam for athletes. This was one of our most-popular programs as Dr. Marks demonstrated a proper physical examination using his wife as a patient. Dr. Marks continues his extremely popular pediatric price today in Yuba City. The pediatrician involved in the controversy left the community shortly after the accusations.
