This is the moment a tsunami warning sounded out across Port Alberni, a city located on Vancouver Island in the province of British Columbia.

In the video, filmed today (January 23), high-pitched sirens can be heard and a voice implores: "Please evacuate to higher ground."

The National Tsunami Center later cancelled the tsunami warning after a 7.9-magnitude earthquake hit Alaska.
