Speaking about the controversy and violence surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmaavat, Bhartiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy said it has zero historical value. "It opens old wounds, and that is why such films should not be made. What is the historical value of it? Zero." Swamy added that the makers and people associated with the film it has nothing to do with history, then why is it being made.
