It's been almost two weeks since Jill Zarin lost her beloved husband Bobby to cancer, and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned the Real Housewives of New York star is getting some real support from her close friend, Patti Stanger.
"Patti is still staying with Jill because she wants to be there for her and make sure she is okay," an insider revealed. "Obviously, Jill is still very much in shock. It hasn't really even hit her yet and she also seems to still be in denial because she is referring to him as if he is still alive."
"It is really sad because Jill and Bobby were so in love and were one of the only real couples in the real housewives franchise," the insider added.
Zarin's husband died on January 13 at age 71 after a long battle with cancer.
Following his funeral late last week – which was attended by Stanger, 56, and RHONY stars Sonja Morgan, 54, Dorinda Medley, 53, Aviva Drescher, 47, Kelly Bensimon, 49, as well as former nemesis Bethenny Frankel, 47 – a fellow mourner told Radar that Zarin appeared "strong" and "expressed gratitude" to her lifelong partner in a heartbreaking eulogy.
Stanger shared her condolences to Zarin on Instagram the day after her spouse passed in a post that read, "Thank you @Bobbyzarin for your friendship and love as no one had my back better than you. You were the ultimate gentleman. Generous, kind and caring I will miss you eternally. You were an angel on earth as you will be heaven. I have never witnessed such #soulmates as you and @mrsjillzarin and don't worry I will take care of her as promised as I love you both. #rip xoxo."
