Police officers mourned after an explosion outside a police station in the San Jose neighborhood of Barranquilla, Colombia, on January 27 killed at least five police officers and wounded at least 42 people.

Police commander Brigadier General Mariano Botero said he believed the incident was a result of gang retaliation.
