Age is just a number, they say. And 36-year-old Roger Federer proved it again. The second-seeded Swiss defeated Croatia’s Marin Cilic in a five-set thriller to retain his Australian Open title, lifting the Norman Brookes Challenger Cup for a record sixth time, equalling the tally of Roy Emerson and Novak Djokovic. Winning the final 6-2, 6-7, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in front of a record 743,667 spectators at the Rod Laver Arena, Roger Federer claimed his record-extending 20th Grand Slam title.
