The biggest event of its kind in the North East, the Newcastle Film Festival, is set to arrive in March

Director Mike Hodges will be back for a special screening of the crime thriller Get Carter, and a whole host of special guests are now expected to attend.

The festival has received over 2,000 film entries from more than 80 countries.
