The Little Mermaid is a fairy tale written by Hans Christian Andersen. In 1989, Disney released the highly popular film, The Little Mermaid, based on the original story but with a happy ending. In the original version the prince marries a princess who he believes was the one who saved him and the little mermaid turns to sea foam. The little mermaids sisters try to help her. They sell their hair to the sea witch in exchange for a dagger with which the mermaid should kill the prince, in order to become a mermaid again. The little mermaid loves the prince and cant bring herself to kill him, and she chooses to die.\r

In the Disney version, Ursula, the Sea Witch, tricks the prince into marrying her, but Ariels friends discover it. \r
\r
In my version, the little mermaids sisters sell their hair to the witch in exchange for permission to speak to the prince.\r
