Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and U.S. Vice President Mike Pence are expected to call on President Moon Jae-in... to start the Seoul-Washington joint military drills immediately after the PyeongChang Winter Olympics wrap up.
This according to a report in the Japanese daily Sankei Shimbun on Sunday.
While Pence is set to visit Tokyo for three days starting Tuesday,... the paper reported that he and Abe will discuss the immediate resumption of the joint drills... and stress they will not sit down for talks with North Korea unless the regime changes its ways.
It added... their such agreement is expected to be delivered to President Moon when each of them visits South Korea... for the opening of PyeongChang Winter Olympics later this week.
