For decades there have been those who have tried to prove that time travel truly does exist. Maybe it does and maybe it doesn’t, but you can’t dispute that these intriguing photographs do make you lean towards believing that there might be a chance it does.
10 - But first, let me take a selfie…
Have a look closely at the bottom right hand corner. There’ll you spot a man holding what looks to be a mobile phone. This painting was done by Umberto Romano in 1937, so if it wasn’t a cellphone, what was it? Any suggestions to the dilemma are welcomed in the comments below!
9 - Behind the times…
There are quite a number of celebrities who’ve been accused of passing through the portals of time, and coming back after already living another life at another time. Nicolas Cage is one of them, John Travolta, Keanu Reeves, Orlando Bloom and Justin Timberlake.
8 - Time to go…
It was 1935 when Dr. EG Moon was departing the home of one of his patient’s in Kent, England and when he got outside, his car was nowhere to be seen. Bearing in mind this was 1935, so a stolen car wasn’t the norm! He says the driveway and the road was much rougher than usual and he saw a man walking past the house wearing several capes and carrying an old-fashioned gun. He turned around, went back to the house and then tried to leave again and everything was back to normal. He tried to find the man he saw, but he was nowhere to be seen. He was convinced he had gone back to the 1800’s for a brief moment.
7 - Face Time…
Håkan Nordkvist made news in 2006 when he decided to time travel to 2014. The Swedish man didn’t do it intentionally, but he had come home to find his kitchen sink overflowing, and he reached into some piping underneath and he went a little further than he anticipated. During his bizarre journey he met his older self. He could see their matching tattoos and they swapped information that only the real Håkan Nordkvist would know. He says he doesn’t care if people think he’s a liar, he knows he isn’t and that’s the main thing.
6 - From time to time…
This is a beautiful painting by Austrian artist Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, painted in 1860. It’s called The Expected One and shows a woman wearing traditional clothing from the 1800’s, taking a stroll through the countryside. In her hand, it looks like she’s scrolling through her smart phone, except it was 1860. So, what is it really? Many claim it to be a hymn book that she is completely engrossed in.
5 - Gift of time…
When it comes to time travel tales, this one is by far the weirdest. It involves the mysterious John Titor who began posting about his time travel journey’s on a few message boards. The hype began in 2000 when he claimed to be an American soldier from the year 2036, who was sent back to 1975 to collect an IBM 5100. He said he was making a quick stop in 2000 to collect a few personal items that would otherwise be lost in the future.
