The white rhino is the largest living land animal after the elephant . They have massive bodies, short necks, and broad chests. These rhinos can weigh anywhere from 3,200 lbs, up to a tremendous 7,936 lbs - that's almost 4 US tons!

They have a noticeable muscular hump on the back of the neck which supports the large head. On their snout are two medial horns, one behind the other. The rear horn is smaller, but the front horn can reach up to 166 cm or 65 inches. The front horn is a formidable weapon to any animal that dares to come close.

The white rhino gets it's name, not because they are white, but from the Afrikaan word "Wyt" which means wide. And wide these rhinos are - they are the tank of the animal world!

The White Rhino's habitat is on the grassy savanna and brushy woodlands of Africa but unfortunately the White Rhino is labelled as 'Near Threatened' on the International Union for Conservation of Nature's list.

In this short video clip we see a beautiful white rhino going about its' day, when out of the left, another white rhino rushes in and bluff charges the unsuspecting rhino. The unsuspecting rhino turns to face the charge, but the charging rhino pulls up and turns away. It's uncertain if this was out of play, or a legitimate charge, but it was a great display of the rhino's awesome power!
