A large number of pilgrims and devotees from various parts of the country thronged Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple in Tamil Nadu’s Rameswaram to witness chariot procession. The Rishaba Vahana Dharshan is when the processional image is taken around on a bull palanquin on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. The Mahasivarathri Abishekam and the procession of the Silver Chariot are the highlights. On the occasion of Maha Shivratri special prayers were offered to the goddess.
