Senator Bill Nelson of Florida stated that gunman who killed 17 people at a high school on Valentine's Day came heavily prepared.
Sen. Nelson was briefed by law enforcement officials after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
He stated that the shooter wore a gas mask, and was equipped with smoke grenades as a part of his heinous act.
Sen. Nelson added it is believed that the shooter intentionally set off the fire alarm to coax people out of their classrooms.
