A second Mood of the Nation poll by Lokniti-Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) has found that positive perception of the BJP government has taken a dip since its first poll.Interestingly, in south India, Narendra Modi trails Rahul Gandhi as the prime ministerial candidate of choice, with Mr. Gandhi getting 27 per cent of the vote against Mr. Modi’s 24 per cent. Mr. Modi’s popularity hit a peak in May 2017 and has gone back to May 2014-levels, while the preference for Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister has doubled.
