A five-point-three magnitude earthquake has struck northeastern Taiwan in yet another powerful tremor to jolt the country.
The epicenter of Monday's quake was about 19 kilometers southwest of Yilan County at a depth of 46-and-a-half kilometers.
It could be felt in most parts of the country, but no immediate casualties were reported.
A 6-point-0 magnitude earthquake that hit eastern Taiwan earlier this month left 17 people dead.
