The Last Supper is a parietal painting obtained with a mixed dry technique on plaster [1] (460 × 880 cm) by Leonardo da Vinci, datable to 1495-1498 and preserved in the former Renaissance refectory of the convent adjacent to the sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan.

This is the most famous representation of the Last Supper, a masterpiece of Leonardo and of the Italian Renaissance in general. Despite this, the work - due to the unique experimental technique used by Leonardo incompatible with the humidity of the environment - has for centuries been in a poor state of conservation, which has been improved as much as possible during one of the longest restoration work of history, which lasted from 1978 to 1999 with the most advanced techniques of the sector.
