'Dora the Explorer' Is Coming to the Big Screen in 2019 That's right, one of Nickelodeon's biggest stars will make her live-action debut
in theaters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will be released Aug. 2 and will be directed by James Bobin. Michael Bay's production company Platinum Dunes will be producing the film. The children's show first debuted back in 2000 and ran for 14 years with 172 episodes.
