Meghan and Cindy McCain recently addressed President Trump’s latest attack on their father and husband, Senator John McCain.
Senator John McCain's daughter Meghan McCain and wife Cindy McCain recently addressed President Donald Trump's latest attack on the Arizona senator, notes ABC News. Trump mentioned John McCain while lamenting the failure of the GOP health care legislation.
"Except for one Senator, who came into a room at 3 o'clock in the morning and went like that — we would have had health care," the president said on Friday, while imitating John McCain's thumbs-down gesture from the vote.
And the CPAC crowd responded by booing the senator, who's battling brain cancer.
"I don't want to be controversial, so I won't use his name," Trump continued.
On Wednesday morning, Cindy McCain appeared beside her daughter, who is a co-host on ABC's 'The View.' After Meghan McCain characterized Trump's recent mocking as, "incredibly hurtful," Cindy McCain called for more "compassion," and said, "We need more empathy. We need more togetherness…we don't need more bullying and I'm tired of it."
